Obituary

Julian Lamar Giddens, 71, of West Berrien, died Monday March 19, 2012 at his residence.

He was born April 5, 1940 in Berrien County to the late Edgar Lawson Giddens and the late Dalpha Flanders. He was a carpenter and a farmer. He was a member and deacon at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Giddens.

He is survived by his wife: Jacquline Lisenby Giddens of West Berrien; 3 sons: Wayman (Vickey) Giddens of West Berrien, Marlon (Debbie) Giddens of West Berrien, and Ed (Amanda) Giddens of West Berrien; sister: Dean Giddens of Nashville; sister-in-law: Kathryn Giddens of Tifton; 5 grandchildren: Brandon, Tara, Brittney, Caitlin, and Madelyn; 3 great grandchildren: Abby, Zoey, and Grayson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 21, 2012 at 3 PM in the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jackie Connell officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM.
