Kathleen Hendley, 88, of Nashville, died Sunday December 1, 2019 at SGMC in Valdosta.
She was born December 5, 1930 in Berrien County to the late David Jackson Skinner and the late Nettie Akridge Skinner. She was a homemaker and former para-pro with the Berrien County Board of Education. She was a member of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 30 years. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and caring for her yard flowers. She was the widow of Archie Hilton Hendley, Jr and was also preceded in death by a sister: Pauline Riel and 4 brothers: William Skinner, Jack Skinner, George Skinner and Albert Skinner.
She is survived by her daughter: Teresa (David) Bishop of Monroe, 2 sons: Archie (Marcia) Hendley of Nashville and Roger (Janet) Hendley of Nashville; sister: Eloise Nash of Lilburn; brother: Charlie (Mary) Skinner of Macon; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Skinner, Beth Skinner and Louise Skinner.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 3, 2019 at 1 pm in the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Robbie Peay officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday at the church from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
