Kathleen Mildred May, 86, of Nashville, died Friday March 7, 2014 in the South GA Medical Center Berrien Campus.
She was born February 16, 1928 in Doerun, Georgia to the late Elbert Oscar Bailey and the late Janie Gunter. She was a homemaker and member of the Hope Baptist Church. She was the widow of D.C. May who died in 2002. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons: Dewey May and Billy Jack May and 5 brothers: Obin, Henry, Oscar, Emory, and Paul Bailey.
She is survived by 2 sons: James (Nancy) May and Wayne (Barbara) May all of Nashville; sister: Julia Murray of Nashville; brother: Raleigh Bailey of Nashville; 2 daughters-in-law: Weida May of Nashville and Beatrice May of Butler; 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday March 10, 2014 at 11 AM in the Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott King and the Rev. Steve Pickern officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 8 PM.
