Kay C. Brookshier, 84, of Sparks, died Monday, March 10, 2025, in the Berrien Oaks Nursing Home.

She was born January 13, 1941, in Moultrie to the late Ralph Hogan Cotton and the late Margaret Webb Cotton. She spent the majority of her life in Albany and moved to the Rachel House in Sparks in 2017, until her passing. She was one of a kind and was loved by so many. She is now running free with the horses and the wolves she loved so dearly. Rest easy Mama.

She is survived by her daughter: Robin Brookshier (Ginger Whitley) of Denver, CO; son: Rob (Moriah) Brookshier of Omaha, NE; grandson: Ezra Brookshier; 3 sisters: Lyn Smith of Tifton, Jane Hall of Adel and Jean Dorminey of Adel; brother: Tommy Cotton of Sparks; several nieces and nephews.

Her family will honor request for cremation and her family will hold a celebration of life later.
