Kevin Garren, 51, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on May 16, 2026. He was born in Valdosta on April 30, 1975, to Ken and Helen Garren.

Kevin was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. He graduated from Lowndes High School in 1993. Kevin spent 15 years working for the Lowndes County Public Works Department, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. One of the greatest examples of Kevin’s caring nature was the time he devoted to his parents. He became their caretaker and remained by their side, helping care for them until their passing.

Kevin enjoyed the simple things in life, especially fishing, spending time around animals, and cheering on the Florida Gators. He had a caring heart and a special love for the people and animals that were important to him.

Kevin is survived by his brother, Kenny Garren (Tesa); his niece, Hannah Lyn Barber (Clayton); his nephew, Caleb Garren (Harley); and his first cousin, Billy Maupin (Lisa). He was preceded in death by his parents, Ken Garren and Helen Garren.

Kevin will be deeply missed by his family.

A memorial service celebrating Kevin’s life will be held on Saturday October 3, 2026, at 10:30 AM in the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church.
