James Kevin Smith, 58, of Nashville, died Sunday April 28, 2024 at his residence.

He was born May 14, 1965 in Shreveport, LA to James Clifford Smith and Sandra Wiggins Smith. He was a mechanic with Southeastern Marine in Douglas and had been employed as a machinist with Kelly Manufacturing in Tifton. He loved hunting, fishing, his family and especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father: James Clifford Smith; bonus daughter: Keisha Warren and a granddaughter: Addie Belle Smith.

He is survived by his wife: Ann Smith of Nashville; children: William (Rebecca) Smith of Chula and Clay (Jodi) Smith of Tifton and Karman Warren of Willacoochee; mother: Sandra Smith (Dave Bales) of Sweetwater, TN; sister: Karen (Sonny) Davis of Gainesville; 5 grandchildren: Gracie Mae, Bella Grace, Harley, Brynlee and Paislee; 2 nephews: Jacob Davis and Joshua Davis; aunt: Kay Lucas; numerous cousins.

A memorial service will be held Thursday May 2, 2024 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Stone and the Rev. Kevin Stone officiating. Visitation is Thursday in the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
