Roy Kyle Mathis, 53, of Nashville, died Monday December 9, 2024 in Naylor.

He was born August 23, 1971 in Lowndes County to the late Donald Mathis and Katherine Coker Mathis. He was a truck driver with South Works and attended the Christian Fellowship Church of Mud Creek. He was a hard worker, liked to fish, cook, play the piano and most of all, loved his family.

He is survived by 3 daughters: Britini (Ron) Fender of Lakeland, Morgan Mathis (Andrew Batten) of Lakeland and Kaycee Mathis of Lakeland; mother: Katherine Mathis of Nashville; brother: Ron (Tressia) Mathis of Nashville; 4 grandchildren: Marlee Fender, Kaelyn Fender, Kyla Fender and Vayda Batten.

A memorial service will be held Thursday December 12, 2024 at 6 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. David Akins officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
