Lacy Herring, 83, of Adel, died Friday September 30, 2022 at his son's home in Sperry, Oklahoma.

He was born March 30, 1939 in Gastonia, NC to the late Lacy V. Herring and the late Mary Morrow Herring. He was a retired truck driver with Pritchett Trucking in Lake Butler, FL, was a member of New Life Baptist Church and served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife: Virginia Herring who died on June 9, 2022 and was also preceded in death by a sister and 2 brothers.

He is survived by 2 sons: Tracy (Ginny) Herring of Adel and Michael (Telisha) Herring of Sperry, OK; 4 grandchildren: Christian Herring, Cheyenne Herring, Kyndall Herring and Austin Herring.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday October 15, 2022 at 10 AM in the New Life cemetery with the Rev. Chad Payne officiating. Visitation is in the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service.
