Obituary

James Lamar Joiner, 72, of Nashville, died Wednesday September 14, 2022 at his residence.

He was born July 15, 1950 in Berrien County to the late Harvie Joiner and the late Louise Harper Joiner. He was a rural mail carrier for over 20 years, worked with Joiner Cabinet Shop and was known as "The Cookie Man" with Lance. He was a member of Mathis Chapel and was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Evelyn Joiner and Ann Joiner; brother: Harold Joiner.

He is survived by his wife: Kelly Joiner of Nashville; 2 daughters: Kim (Tim) Spell of Adel and Jennifer (Kylon) Fort of Nashville; 2 sons: Kevin Joiner of Nashville and Ian McSwain of Nashville; sister: Joyce Stone of Nashville; 2 brothers: Glendon Joiner of Lakeland and Ronnie Joiner Nashville; 4 grandchildren: Timothy Spell, Caroline Spell, Grant Fort and Bruce Fort; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 17, 2022 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Blair Joiner officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the service.
