Lamar Wayne Roberts, 83, of Nashville, died Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at SGMC in Valdosta.

He was born September 6, 1942, in Berrien County to the late Woodrow R. Roberts and the late Mary Lucile Avera Roberts. He was a sales representative with the former Martin Motors, a retired licensed agent with Liberty National Life Insurance and retired from the City of Nashville Fire Department. He attended Nashville First Baptist Church, an outdoorsman, a lifelong salesman who had the personality and loved to tell stories.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara Guthrie Roberts of Nashville; daughter: Terri Cooper of Birmingham, AL; son: Bruce (Janice) Roberts of Adel; 5 grandchildren: Grisha Roberts, Misha Roberts, Kyle Kimbrell, Katherine (Jeff) Lathem and Christopher "C.J." Cooper; great grandson: Tripp Lathem; brother: Allan (Beth) Roberts of Nashville.

A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 3 PM in the Westview cemetery with Rev. Paul Keffer officiating. Visitation is thirty minutes prior to the service in the cemetery.
