Larry Hershell "Bear" Futch, 61, of Nashville, died Monday October 3, 2016 at his residence.

He was born September 28, 1955 in Lowndes County to the late John Hershell Futch and the late Charlotte Gaskins Futch. He was a retired paramedic having served both Berrien and Cook counties. He was a member of Flat Creek Church and was preceded in death by a sister: Virginia Futch Taylor, 2 brothers: John Albert Futch and Randy Futch; nephew: Justin Taylor. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.

He is survived by 4 sisters: Betty Sue Futch of Nashville, Johniette Sizemore of Nashville, Durinda Talley of Montgomery, AL and Sherri Batten of Pearson; brother: Tommy (Shirley) Futch of Summertown, TN; sister-in-law: Pam Futch of Nashville; 3 nephews: Josh (Heather) Taylor, Darian (Tracy) Futch and Dusty Futch; nieces: Kelli (Scott) Fowler, Ursula Carrington and Amanda (Justin) Rollan; several great nieces and great nephews; special friends: Sherri, Mike, Colin and Colleen Ritchea and Shirley Rentz.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 5, 2016 at 2 PM in the Flat Creek Church with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey and Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Flat Creek Church.
