Larry Skinner, 58, of Nashville, died Monday July 23, 2012 at his residence.
He was born May 21, 1954 in Lowndes County to the late John A. Skinner and the late Essie Mae Hayes. He had worked as a mechanic at Nashville Textile and was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by 3 brothers: J.S. Skinner, James Skinner, and Daniel Skinner; sister: Dorothy Fania; half sister: Mary Ellen Gray.
He is survived by his wife: Cheryl Foss Skinner of Nashville; 3 sons: Travis (Amanda) Skinner of Hahira, Eric Skinner of Hahira, and Justin Brodie Skinner of Ocala, Fl; 3 sisters: Thelma Gray of Adel, Margaret Bradford of Naylor, and Carolyn Broome of Adel; 4 half brothers: Jimmy Dampier of Villa Rica, Elder Robert Skinner of Lakeland, Kenneth Skinner of Nashville, and Leon Skinner of Nashville; 2 grandchildren: Alyssa Skinner and Caleb Skinner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Thursday July 26, 2012 at 5 PM in the Fellowship Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers make memorials to the Fellowship Baptist Church.
