Obituary

Laura Edith Brogdon, 93, of Nashville, died Friday June 7, 2019 in the Tift Rehabilitation Center.

She was born August 1, 1925 in Berrien County to the late Clayton Jones and the late Livey Tyson Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Jesse Marlon "J.M." (Hoss) Brogdon who died in 2004. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters: Ida Courson and Agnes Bennett; 5 brothers: Felton, Clayton, Eston, Coolidge and Eddie Jones; daughter-in-law: Carol Ann Brogdon; grandson: Timmy Brogdon; great grandson: Jackson Lee Warren.

She is survived by her daughter: Patricia (Tommy) Lee of Nashville; 2 sons: Donnie Brogdon of Nashville and Jerry Brogdon of Nashville; 6 grandchildren: Jed Brogdon, Josh Brogdon, Tom (Lexie) Lee, Jessica (B.J.) Warren, Ashley (Ty) Harper and Kim (Rev. Phillip) Simmons; 6 great grandchildren: Kellie Philpot, Kal Simmons, Landon Brogdon, Hannah Brogdon, Aubrey Lee and Mason Warren; sister: Gladys Partin of Nashville; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday June 9, 2019 at 3 PM in the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Futch and Rev. Kevin Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is at the church one hour prior to the service.
