Laura Sumner Golden, 99, of Nashville, died Sunday May 10, 2015 in the Berrien Nursing Center.
She was born March 8, 1916 in Tifton, Georgia to the late Henry Leon Sumner and the late Alice Eliza Sandefur Sumner. She was a homemaker and attended the Nashville Mission. She was the widow of Wiley Golden who died in 1984. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: James Tyson, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
She is survived by her daughter: Mattie Geneva Tyson of Nashville; son: Curtis Leroy (Marie) Golden of Albany; one brother: Albert Sumner of Tifton; sister-in-law: Juanita Golden; six grandsons: Paul (Cassandra) Golden, Huey (Janice) Golden, Travis (Stacy) Golden, Gary Golden, Greg (Patricia) Tyson and Jerry Tyson; 13 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, 4 step great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 13, 2015 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. R. T. Castleberry officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakey Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
