Obituary

Leon Jeffery "Jeff" Kent, 73, of Nashville, died Monday October 29, 2018 at his residence.

He was born January 29, 1945 in Pavo, GA to the late Wesley Austin Kent and the late Alma Louise Coleman Kent.  He was employed with the Cadillac Ranch, farmed with Bobby Kimble and Bryan Lanier.  He served in the U.S. Army, member of VFW Post 5978 and was a member of Nashville United Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Charles, Jack, and Samuel Kent; and a nephew: Ricky Kent.

He is survived by 2 daughters: Kimberly (William) Warren of Ray City and Dawn Kent of Altha, FL; granddaughter: Victoria Martinez of Ray City; grandson: Devin Ferrell of Altha, FL; nephew: Scotty (Wanda) Sumner of Nashville; niece: Kathy Kent of Baxley; 2 great nieces: Ann and Breanna Kent; 3 great nephews: Logan Sumner, Evan Sumner, and Jeffrey Toler; sister-in-law: Evelyn Kent of Nashville.

The family will honor his request for cremation and a graveside service will be held Saturday November 17, 2018 at 11 AM in Nashville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Danny Ray officiating. Visitation will be held in the cemetery prior to the service. In lieu of flowers , memorial contributions can be made to the VFW Post 5978 or Bethany Hospice.
