Leroy Higgs Hall, 93, of Enigma died Saturday June18, 2016 at his residence.

He was born June 11, 1923 in Lowndes County to the late Lee Otis Hall and the late Maedell Higgs. He was a farmer and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was also a member of New Griffin Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his wife: Cora Mittie Hall in 2006; son: Bobby Drew Hall; and a brother: Bill Hall.

He is survived by his 4 daughters: Margorie Brown of Bainbridge, Sue (Freddie) McClendon of Enigma, Shirley (Richard) Lilly of Leesburg, and Vickie (Kenny) Stephens of Tifton; 2 sons: Jerry (Rita) Hall of Enigma and Murray (Glenda) Hall of Tifton; 4 sisters: Juanita Watson of Douglas, Carolyn Griffin of Alapaha, Evelyne Evans of Douglas, and Irma Folsom of Adel; 2 brothers: Ernest Hall of Lakeland and Earl Hall of Nashville;17 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Milton Bruce, Reece Hall, Wade Cribb, Jeffery McClendon, Ken Stephens, Josh Bruce, Josh Hall, John Louis Phillips and Justin Phillips. Serving as honorary pallbearers: Gene Griffin, T.J. Horten, Thomas Heath, Jerry Metts, Junior Heath, Raymond Purvis, Joe Guess, Jason Griffin, Darward Vickers, Vinson Griffin, Joann Lee, Debra Baker, Mae Purvis, Shirley Bristol and Donald Bristol.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 22, 2016 at 11 AM in New Griffin Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Tolle and Rev. Billy Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Brogdon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, make contributions to New Griffin Missionary Baptist Church or Hospice of TiftArea.
