Letha JoAnn Jackson, 71, of Nashville died Thursday October 16, 2014 at SGMC Berrien Campus.
She was born March 5, 1943 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Oscar Carpenter and the late Beatrice Irene Edmondson Carpenter. She was a homemaker, worked at the Nashville Alternative Center and attended Open Door Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister: Barbara Burks; a brother: Donald Eugene Carpenter; and 2 great grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Beverly Franco of Tifton and Mary (Ricky) Daniel of Nashville; 2 sons: Robert Eugene Burks of Nashville and William "Billy" Julian of Nashville; 4 sisters: Edna Blanton of Indianapolis, IN, Helen Shields of Indianapolis, IN, Sandy Robison of Brazil, IN, and Charlene Muston of MS; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday October 19, 2014 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary James. Interment will follow in Open Door Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 PM.
