Lettie Marlene Nelms, 87, of Nashville, died Tuesday May 28, 2019 in the SGMC Berrien Campus.

She was born May 25, 1932 in Berrien County to the late Riley Nathan Taylor and the late Essie Elizabeth  Wallace. She was a homemaker and retired from Nashville Mills as a seamstress. She was the widow of John Brooks Nelms and was also preceded in death by a son: John B. Nelms, Jr; 5 sisters: Sarah Beggerly, Christine Mills, Martha Barnard, Betty Dabbs and Anita Densmore; 2 brothers: Lewis Taylor and Wayne Taylor.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Debbie (Jeffrey) Vallet of Logan, WV, Edwina (Bill) Azbell of Birmingham, AL and Elaine Nelms of Loganville; sister: Latrelle Wood of Englewood, OH; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A private interment will be held in Westview Cemetery.
