Obituary

Lillian Elizabeth Carter, 90, of Nashville died Saturday December 16, 2017 at her residence.

She was born February 5, 1927 in Colquitt County to the late Calvin Gay and the late Emma Caroline Flowers Gay. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Ray City. She was the widow of Leroy Dewitt Carter who died in 2004; she was also preceded in death by a son: Ronnie Lyle Carter who died in 1996, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She is survived by 7 daughters: Grace Watson, Shirley (Wayne)McGee, Rhonda (John) Royals, Linda Mallory, Tammy (Wayne) Nash, Virginia Beck-Carter all of Nashville and Joanne (Charlie) Jacobs of Jacksonville, FL; 4 sons: Leroy (Vicki) Carter, Jr. of Statenville, Fred (Sylvia) Carter, Doug (Shelba) Carter and Donnie (Tammy) Carter all of Nashville; 36 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday December 18, 2017 at 11AM in First Baptist Church of Ray City with the Rev. Robbie Peay and Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in Beaver Dam Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday 6-9 PM.
