Linda Hernandez, 76, of Nashville, died Sunday December 1, 2024 at SGMC Berrien Campus.

She was born August 25, 1948 in Barney to the late Claude Gaines and the late Myrtice Missouri Mathis Gaines. She retired from Chaparral Boats and attended Jacob's Well. She loved to make quilts, sew, cook, go to yard sales, the beach, Buc-ee's and watch wrestling. She loved her family and will always be Mama. She was preceded in death by a sister: Jacquelyn "Jackie" Connell; brother: Dale Gaines.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Sue (Nathan) Stone of Nashville and Misty Davis of Nashville; son: Travis (Rhonda) Knight of Nashville; 6 brothers: James Gaines of Orlando, FL, Billy Gaines of Lake City, FL, Wayne Gaines of Lake City, FL, Randy Gaines of Nashville, Johnny Gaines of Lake City, FL and Jerry Gaines of Tucson, AZ; 11 grandchildren: Clarice Smith, Nate Stone (Heather Cooper), Candace (Wayne) Warren, Kari Knight, Mara (Chad) Nowlin, Molly Knight, Rayna Long, Riley Long, J.D. (Shelby) Eaton, Makayla (Austin) Jordan and Levi Eaton; 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 4, 2024 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Creek cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
