Lois G. Watson, 88, of Nashville, died Tuesday January 28, 2014 in the South Georgia Medical Center Berrien Campus.
She was born March 2, 1925 in Berrien County to the late James Griffin and the late Marion Simpson. She was a homemaker and retired educator with the Berrien County Board of Education having taught for 38 years. She was a member of the Nashville First Baptist Church and was the widow of James Pleasant "J.P." Watson, Jr. She was also preceded in death by a son: Dr. James P. "Jimmy" Watson, III, 8 sisters and 2 brothers.
She is survived by her daughter: Elaine (Johnny) Morris of Calhoun; sister: Nina Billingsley of Tallahasee, FL; 4 grandchildren: Dana (Mark) Warren of Nashville, Sean (Dina) Watson of San Antonio, TX, Kerry (Kerry Rose) Vick of Valdosta, and Griffin (Ali) Morris of Calhoun; great granddaughter: Lainey Morris; several beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday January 31, 2014 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Harvey Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 7 to 9 PM.
