Loretha Cersey, 87, of Nashville, died Saturday, February 22, 2025, in the Berrien Oaks.

She was born September 6, 1937, in Berrien County to the late Dorsey Nelms and the late Sadie Vaughn Cersey. She was a homemaker and retired with Nashville Textile as a machinist and supervisor. She was a member of A'New Way Baptist Church, loved her family and enjoyed reading. She was the widow of Curtis Albert Cersey who died in 2018 and was also preceded in death by a son: Joey Cersey; son-in-law: Howard Gaskins and a brother: Junior Nelms.

She is survived by her daughter: Joy Gaskins of Nashville; 5 grandchildren: Carrie (Eric) Vickers of Collins, Ashley (Chad) Crews of Nashville, Chris Cersey of Valdosta, Nick (Jessica) Cardin of Adel and Nick Gaskins of Nashville; 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
