Louise Boyd, 86, of the West Berrien Community, died Thursday November 27, 2014 at the Pruitt Health Center in Moultrie.
She was born August 18, 1928 in Berrien County to the late Lossi Levi Rowan and the late Sarah Elizabeth Hall Rowan. She was a homemaker, worked at Albert's Jewelry Store, faithfully worked on the family farm and attended Vickers Church. She was the widow of Abner Boyd and was also preceded in death by a son: Martie Boyd; 3 sisters: Valorie Walker, Myrtice Bostic and Jeanette Rowan; brother: Virgil "Sam" Rowan.
She is survived by her daughter: Debora (Ken) Surface of the West Berrien Community; 2 sons: Raymond (Tracy) Boyd of the West Berrien Community and Donald (Barbara) Boyd of Nashville; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday November 30, 2014 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey and the Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Long Bridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 PM.
