Louise Gaskins, 85, of West Berrien died Sunday April 28, 2013 in Clare Bridge Assisted Living in Winter Haven, FL.
She was born January 4, 1927 in Duval County FL to the late George Edward Clark and the late Ruth Swint. She was a homemaker and a retired secretary with the Berrien County Health Department. She was the widow of Elder Thomas Lamar Gaskins and also, preceded in death by a son, Joseph Edward "Jo Ed" Gaskins and 3 sisters: Virginia Colasurdo, Lois Lindsey, and Georgette Baker.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Ruth (Russ) Clifford of Winter Haven, FL and Vickie (Arthur) Gunn of Milledgeville, GA; 1 son: Tommy Gaskins of West Berrien; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday May 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur Gunn officiating. Interment will be in the Oakey Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 6-8 PM. Flowers are accepted or memorials to Good Sheppard Hospice, Auburndale, FL.
