Lucille Hancock, 89, of Nashville died Wednesday January 1, 2020 at her residence.

She was born October 19, 1930 in Nashville to the late Manning Brown and the late Pinkie Sweat Brown.  She was a homemaker, worked on the family farm and a member of Flat Creek Church.  She was the widow of Mallie Slaton Hancock who died in 2009.  She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Blanche Hahn, Doris Abbott and Betty Johnson; five brothers: M. B. Brown, Mack Brown, Walter Brown, Jack Brown and Herman Brown.

She is survived by two sons: Charles (Linda) Price of Sandersville and Tony (Sharon) Price of Nashville; brother: Homer Brown of Midville; ten grandchildren: Angie Price, Shea Boyer, Matt Price, Susan (Jamie) Darsey, Amy (Andy) Lewis, Chuck Price, Karen (Jeff) Jernigan, Erin Robinson, Pam (Scott) Reese and Missy Smith; 16 great grandchildren: Shayla Purvis, Taylor (Jarod Wright) Purvis, Lauren (Cody) Jackson, Kirsten Hollie, Carson Lewis, Miya Banks, Preston Reese, Errin (Matthew Bingham) Reese, Mallie Hill, Haven Hill, Connor Jernigan, Carson Jernigan, Cooper Jernigan, Zaylin Reese, Camden Reese, and Jensen Reese; three great-great grandchildren: Addi, Hollie and Maggi Bingham; Special thanks to her caregivers: Brenda Smith, Pam Sauls, Pam Smith, Jewel Boone, Latoya Jackson and South Georgia Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 4, 2020 at 2 PM in Flat Creek Church with the Rev. Mark Swain and Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating.  Interment will follow in Flat Creek Cemetery.  Visitation is Friday from 6 - 8 PM.
