Lullene Hancock, 89, of Nashville died Friday September 30, 2011 in the Fellowship Home.
She was born August 29, 1922 in Irwin County to the late Carl Vinson Walters and the late Alda Lee Paulk. She was a homemaker, retired school teacher, member of the Nashville First Baptist Church, and the Berrien Retired Teachers. She was the widow of Rudolph Hobson "Hobby" Hancock who died in 1987. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers: Lorie V. Walters and W. Emory Walters.
She is survived by 3 sons: Rudy (Cheryl) Hancock, Randy (Marla) Hancock, Rodney (Robin) Hancock all of Nashville; 6 grandchildren: Ryan Hancock, Drew Hancock, Maranda Houston, Mitzi Hancock, Hayden Hancock, and Leigh Hancock: 3 great grandchildren: Susanna, Hobby and Lila; 3 sisters: Myrtle (Ed) Meeks of Albany, June (Doyle) Nesmith of Lyons, and Joyce Smith of Cordele.
Funeral services will be held Monday October 3, 2011 at 3 PM in the Nashville First Baptist Church with Mr. Jackson Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Visitaton is Sunday from 7 to 9 PM.
