Luneal "Nell" Harper, 65, of Nashville died Saturday November 5, 2016 in SGMC Berrien Campus.

She was born September 15, 1951 in Berrien County to the late Neal Austin Blanton and the late Edith Jeanette Lord. She was a homemaker, worked on the family farm and a member of Faith Chapel. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Gary Blanton, Wayne Blanton and Doyle Blanton; 2 nieces: Amy Van Zant Rowell and Lynn Smith.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved the Lord , her family and friends. She was a strong lady who had a kind, caring and loving heart for everybody. She was a 5 year breast cancer survivor and a 4 year colorectal cancer survivor. She fought the good fight, was her children's biggest supporter , a forgiver of many people and had a very sweet spirit.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years: Homer Harper of Nashville; 3 daughters: Tammy Harper, Lisa Kay Harper and Joanne (Allen) Kreager all of Nashville; granddaughter: Kristen Kreager, Nashville; 4 sisters: Jean (Earl) Smith of Nashville, Sue (Eddie) Van Zant of Hilliard, FL, Ann (Duren) Bailey of Douglas and Faye ( Lamar) Jones of Nashville; brother: Roger (Tanetta) Blanton of Douglas; sister-in-law: Annette Stanley of Quitman; 2 special nieces that she considered grandchildren: Katie Stanley and Abby Walker; 1 special nephew that she considered a son: John Stanley; several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday November 10, 2016 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Empire Cemetery in Lanier County. Visitation is Thursday from 9 AM until hour of service.
