Alvin Mack Lovett, 82, of Nashville died Wednesday August 19, 2020 in South Georgia Medical Center.
He was born March 29, 1938 in Cook County to the late Charles Bryant Lovett and the late Thelma Cottle Lovett. He was retired from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a member of Nashville First Church of the Nazarene. He was a pilot, made jewelry, belt buckles and served in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Sherlon Gaskins Lovett; son: Alvin Mack Lovett, Jr.; a brother and a sister.
He is survived by his wife: Blondine Stone Lovett of Nashville; daughter: Katy Lovett of Ray City; son: Steve Lovett of Enigma; step sons: Joey Hornage of Nashville and Hal (Teresa) Hornage of Hazlehurst; four grandchildren: Jade (Matt) Porter of Lakeland, Blake Lovett of Enigma, James Lovett of Enigma and Peyton Lovett of Ray City; great granddaughter: Rosslyn Porter; nephew: Neil Roberts of North Carolina.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 22, 2020 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Dean officiating. Interment will follow in Sparks City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The family request all attending wear a face mask.
