Mack Summerlin, 83, of Nashville died Monday January 28, 2019 at his residence.

He was born December 19, 1935 in Atkinson County to the late Allen Summerlin and the late Alma Bowen Summerlin.  He was employed with Tifton Aluminum as a welder for 28 years, the Lanier County Board of Education in maintenance for 10 years and attended Mathis Chapel.  He was preceded in death by a brother: Allen Summerlin, Jr.

He is survived by his wife: Betty Jo Royals Summerlin of Nashville; 4 daughters: Sheila (Don) McGee of Nashville; Janice (Stephen) Powell of Adel, Joyce (Wally) Strom of Nashville and Cheryl (Keith) Stone of Nashville; son: Neal (Melanie) Summerlin of Willacoochee; 4 sisters: Novera Thackston of Nashville, Annie Garren of Cartersville, Betty Sue Denny of Tifton and Clara Faye Bennett of Nashville; 9 grandchildren: David McGee, Dustin (Noni) Powell, Tyler Powell, Stephen Powell, Lauren McGee, Kaitlin Strom, Emilee Stone, Karla Stone and Camille Summerlin.

Funeral services will be held Thursday January 31, 2019 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Funeral Home with the Rev. R. T. Castleberry. Interment will follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens.  Visitation is Wednesday 6 to 8 PM.
