Obituary

Maggie Delores Simpson, 69, of Nashville, died Monday December 16, 2019 at the residence of her sister in Douglas.

She was born March 11, 1950 in Monticello, KY to the late Elmer James Goad and the late Atla Lee Phipps. She was a homemaker and employed with SGMC-Berrien Campus as a phlebotomist. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Willacoochee and was preceded in death by a brother: Elmer Goad.

She is survived by her husband: Charles Simpson of Nashville; 3 sons: Scotty (May) Evans of Corinth, KY, John (Missy) Evans of Nashville and Jamey (Dana) Evans of Williamsburg, OH; step daughter: Connie Sue Shelton of Owenton, KY; 2 step sons: Keith (Shawna) Simpson of Franklin, TN and John Simpson of Crittenden, KY; 4 sisters: Wilma (Wendell) Troupe of Douglas, Brenda (Richard) Hutchinson of Corinth, KY; Carol Clayton of Hillard, FL and Penny (Tim) Williams of Willacoochee; brother: Eddie (Linda) Goad of Douglas; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday December 19, 2019 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. James Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday 11 AM until hour of service.
