Mamie Giddens' Obituary
Mamie Giddens, 79, of Nashville died Friday May 6, 2011 in the Berrien Nursing Center.
She was born December 26, 1931 in Berrien County to the late Julian Connell and the late Thelma Howard. She was a homemaker and member of Flat Creek Church. She was the widow of Leland Giddens who died in 1976 and was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: Raymond Grimes who died in 2009.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Pat (Robert) Gaskins of Alapaha and Brenda Grimes of Nashville; sister: Catherine Rowe of Lake City, Fl.; 2 brothers: William Connell of Cairo and Olan Connell of Lake City, Fl; 4 grandchildren: Amanda Morris, Lisa McMillan, Christy Grimes, and Vinson Gaskins; 6 great grandchildren: Chloe, Zach, Grace, Seth, Robby, and Dannie.
Funeral services will be held Sunday May 8, 2011 at 4 PM in the Flat Creek Church with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey and the Rev. Jackie Connell officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 6 to 8 PM.
