Obituary

Marguerite Connell, 90, of Nashville died Saturday February 23, 2013 in the Berrien Nursing Center.

She was born July 19, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA to the late David Sebastian Monaghan and the late Elizabeth Shea Monaghan. She was a homemaker and retired Para Pro with the Berrien County Board of Education. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary. She was preceded in death by a son: John Clifford Connell, 3 sisters: Betty, Patty, and Ann; 3 brothers: David, Cliff, and Jack.

Marguerite, affectionately called Tootie, was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was a person whose life touched and influenced not only her family, but many others from all walks of life. She was a blessing to the community of Nashville and many will remember her on her daily walks through town.

She is survived by her husband: Wilson Connell of Nashville; daugher: Catherine (Doug) White of Milton; 3 sons: Robert (Vickie) Connell of Valdosta, David (Pam) Connell of Marietta, and Joe (Debbie) Connell of Roswell; 8 grandchildren: Ben Connell, Matt Connell, Jake Connell, Amy Connell McKinlay, Adam Connell, Sarah Connell Evers, Kate Connell, and John David White; 6 great grandchildren: Clay Connell, Sam Connell, Aubrianna Connell, Gavin Connell, Greyson Connell, and Thomas McKinlay.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday February 25, 2013 at 2 PM in the Westview Cemetery with Father Freddie Angel officiating. Visitation is Monday one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers make contributions to the Queen of Peace Building Fund.
