Willie Marie Purvine, 72, of Nashville, died Thursday May 19, 2016 in Tift Regional Medical Center.
She was born January 18, 1944 in Jasper, FL to the late William Lewis Monk and the late Lerh Irene Churchill Monk. She was employed as a weaver with Dundee Mills in Griffin, GA and a member of Victory Holiness Church. She will be missed and was a true angel on earth. She was preceded in death by her husband: William Purvine; son: Tony Purvine; and granddaughter: Kristie Ann Purvine.
She is survived by her daughter: Connie Purvine of Nashville; grandson: William Purvine of Nashville; sister: Minnie (Robert) Simpson of Alapaha; 3 brothers: Danny (Pat) Monk of Palm Bay, FL, Roy (Susan) Monk of Palm Bay, FL, and Robert ( Connie) Monk of Nashville; mother-in-law: Virginia Purvine of Greenville, SC. 2 step-daughters: Debbie Fernandez of Tampa, FL and Lyn Perez of Tampa, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will honor her request for cremation and no formal service will be held.
