Obituary

Marjorie Browning, 84, of Nashville, died Tuesday March 22, 2022 at SGMC in Valdosta.

She was born September 29, 1937 in Berrien County to the late Willie B. Roberts and the late Pina Selph Roberts. She was a homemaker, beautician and retired from Nashville Mills after 30 years of service.  She was a member of Hope Baptist Church and was the widow of Grover Page "Buck" Browning, Jr who died in 2013. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter: Kathleen Browning.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Rose Marie (Frank) Altman of Lady Lake, FL, Marlene (Dale) Baldree of Douglas and Karen (Danny) Whiddon of Dallas, TX; 4 sons: Curtis (Karen) Browning of Valdosta, Marty (Ruth) Browning of Nashville, Randy Browning of Nashville and Matthew (Melisa) Browning of Valdosta; 4 sisters: Jeanette Walton of Nashville, Elaine Kent of Valdosta, Katie Podagrosi of Tifton and Linda Lanite of Huntsville, AL; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 26, 2022 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard McNair officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the service.
