Richard Mark Griffin, 59, of Alapaha, died Thursday February 10, 2022 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia from injuries received in a farm accident.

He was born January 21, 1963 in Cook County to Vinson Richard Griffin and Mary Inell Griner Griffin. He was a farmer and member of New Griffin Baptist Church.

He is survived by 2 sons: Daniel Griffin (Hevin Lee Ray) of Alapaha and Zach Griffin of Alapaha; daughter: Julia Brogdon of Alapaha; parents: Vinson and Inell Griffin of Alapaha; sister: Kathy (David) Ladner of Gulfport, MS; grandson: Matthew Griffin; nephew: Brent (Lindsey) Ladner; niece: Brittany (Tracy) Rogers; great nephew: Steele Rogers; great niece: Mattie Rogers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 12, 2022 at 2 PM in the New Griffin Baptist Church with the Rev. Sim Yougblood and Mr. Tim Meeks officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Paron cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
