Marlin Drexel Roberson, 78, of Alapaha, died Monday April 21, 2014 in the Golden Living Center in Tifton.

He was born August 25, 1935 in Boaz, Alabama to the late Varnie H. Roberson and the late Ruby Lee Ellis. He was a retired truck driver and security guard for the Hubert Moore Lumber Co. He was preceded in death by a son: Drexel Dane Roberson; sister: Jane Roberson; 2 brothers: Neal Roberson and Chip Roberson.

He is survived by 2 sons: Donny Roberson of Sodie Daisy, TN and Keith Roberson of Garfield, WA; daughter: Cheryl (Buddy) Lawler of Sodie Daisy, TN; sister: Bonnie Chaney of Nashville.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday April 23, 2014 at 4:30 PM in the Pine Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Roberts officiating. Visitation is Wednesday from 2:30 PM until hour of services.
