Marsha Elizabeth Hand, 70, of Alapaha died Thursday November 16, 2017 in the Berrien Nursing Center.
She was born December 18, 1946 in Lowndes County to Edwin Gaskins and the late Marguerite Johnson Gaskins. She was a retired registered nurse having worked in Nashville, Moultrie and Albany and was a member of the Alapaha United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Gaskins and a sister: Suzanne Gaskins.
She is survived by 2 sons: Derring (Christie) Johnson of Alapaha and Chad Cole of Moultrie; father: Edwin Gaskins of Alapaha; sister: Dona (Julian) Fields of Alapaha; 2 grandchildren: Erika Bennett of Valdosta and Josie Johnson of Alapaha; 2 great grandchildren: Bridges Bennett and Brody Bennett of Valdosta; 3 nieces and 2 cousins.
A graveside funeral service will be held Monday November 20, 2017 at 2 PM in Fletcher Cemetery with the Rev. Steven Norris officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
