Marshell Wayne Chaney, 64, of Alapaha, died Saturday November 16, 2013 at his residence.
He was born May 25, 1949 in Lake City, Florida to the late James Doncell Chaney and the late Lillian Chesnutt. He was a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his wife: Ouida Harper Chaney of Alapaha; son: Casey Chaney of Nashville; daughter: Nikki Taylor of Luraville, FL; 2 step daughters: Tonya McDaniel of Adel and Nichole Rowe of Lake Park; 3 step sons: Clayton Godwin of Adel, James Godwin of Adel, and Justin Godwin of Adel; 2 brothers: Joe Chaney of Nashville and Anthony Chaney of Live Oak, FL; sister: Yvonne Law of Live Oak, FL; 3 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, and a very special grandson: Landon Rowe.
The family will honor his request for cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
