Martha Nell Blackmon, 81, of Nashville, died Tuesday October 29, 2013 at her residence.
She was born November 30, 1931 in Berrien County to the late George Washington Rowan and the late Nellie Irene Roberson. She was retired from Moody A.F.B. civil service as supply manager after 33 years of service. She was a member of the Nashville First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Susan Gail Rollins and Cyndee Samarripas; a sister and 5 brothers.
She is survived by her husband: Walt Blackmon of Nashville; son: Roy (Robin) Blackmon of Austin, TX; 2grandsons: Rory Blackmon of Los Angeles, CA and Eric Blackmon of Austin, TX; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 2, 2013 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley Luke and Rev. Steve Pickern officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Friday from 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Hospice of South Georgia or Langdale Hospice House.
