Marvin Harold McCorvey, 88, of Nashville, died Wednesday December 2, 2015 in the SGMC Berrien Campus.
He was born November 16, 1927 in Tift County to the late John Dan McCorvey and the late Mary Alice Dillard McCorvey. He attended A'New Way Baptist Church, was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was preceded in death by a son: Donald McCorvey; grandson: Alex McCorvey; 2 sisters: Bessie Lawson and Mae Mathis; 2 brothers: J.W. McCorvey and Evans McCorvey.
He is survived by his wife: Murdell Hale McCorvey of Nashville; 2 daughters: Gwen (Gary) Smith of Moultrie and Fay (Randall) Foxworth of Pine Mountain; 2 sons: Randy (Brenda) McCorvey of Nashville and Pernell (Jo Ann) McCorvey of Nashville; daughter-in-law: Deborah McCorvey of Nashville sister: Mary Sumner of Nashville; brother: Bobby McCorvey of Nashville; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday December 4, 2015 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett and Rev. Randall Foxworth officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday from 6 to 8 PM.
