Obituary

Mary Maxine Cannon, 90, of Macon, Georgia died in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Pine Pointe Hospice, after having been in hospice just a little over a day.

She was born May 28, 1934, to the late Henry Maxwell Cannon and the late Florida Mae Stone. She began a career as a secretary at Robins Airforce Base and retired as their Acquisitions Manager. She was an active Southern Baptist who did missionary work, enjoyed bible study, and her Mabel White Church's Singles Club.

She was preceded in death by her sisters: Sue Speiss, Vivian Davis, and Olya Fessard.

Maxine lived most of her adult life with her sister Olya Fessard and helped parent Olya's daughter Véronique Fessard. Upon Olya's death she lived the remainder of her life with Veronique, her husband Ken, and their three daughters Gabrielle, Genevieve, and Valentina who called her Nana, as she was a grandparent to them.

Maxine is also survived by her brother Joe Cannon, and sisters Rosa Mullis, and Edna Story.

Funeral services will be held Friday April 18, 2025, at 2 p.m. graveside at Long Bridge Cemetery if weather permits. Otherwise, it will be held in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Mr. Dennis Massey officiating followed by internment. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
