Mary Joyce Flanders' Obituary
Mary Joyce Flanders, 70, of Alapaha died Thursday April 14, 2011 at her residence.
She was born May 21, 1940 in Berrien County to the late Johnny Dillard and the late Serena Luke. She was a homemaker and for many years, with her husband, operated Flanders Café in Alapaha. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son: Joey Flanders.
She is survived by her husband: Jordan Flanders of Alapaha; daughter: Sandra Givens of Alapaha; daughter-in-law: Nancy Flanders of Lenox; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday April 16, 2011 at 3 PM in the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jackie Connell and the Rev. Freddie Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from 7 to 9 PM.
