Mary Elizabeth Gray, 80, of Nashville, died Sunday March 7, 2021 at SGMC Valdosta.
She was born January 31, 1941 in Cook County to the late P.B. Phillips and the late Minnie Brown Phillips. She was the retired owner and operator of Mary's Florist and served her community with love for numerous years. She was a member of the Nashville United Methodist Church and was the widow of James Lamar Gray who died in 2003. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Vickey Giddens; son: Charlie Gray; granddaughter: Madison Taylor Gray; 6 sisters: Margaret Revels, Melba Fountain, Edith Taylor, Dorothy Griffin, Carolyn Cribb and LaFaye Fullerton; 2 brothers: DeWayne Phillips and P.B. Phillips, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter: Susan Gray Steverson of Alapaha; son: Mickey (Kara) Gray of Nashville; 2 sisters: Linda (Lamar) Webb of Nashville and Becky Nulf of Indiana; daughter-in-law: Lynn Gray of Nashville; 2 sons-in-law: Wayman Giddens and Alan Steverson; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday March 10, 2021 at 2 PM in the Nashville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Visitation will be in the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service.
