Mary Ellen Hawkins, 76, of Ray City, died Thursday, July 1, 2021, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.

She was born November 2, 1944 in Worth County to the late Lonnie Gray and the late Lora Belle Horten.

She was of the Baptist faith, a homemaker and retired product inspector with Nashville Mills. She was widowed to the late Robert Eugene "Bob" Hawkins who died in 2015.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Lisa (Tony) Scrivens of Ray City and Caroline (Joe) Cook of Ray City; son: Rob (Shannon) Hawkins of Ray City; sister: Betty Pearson of Nashville; 3 grandchildren: Quade Hawkins, Ethan Hawkins, and Maddison Cook.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 3rd at 3 PM in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home, Rev. Mark Swain officiating. Interment will follow at Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
