Obituary

Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Taylor, 73, of the West Berrien Community, died Wednesday June 17, 2015 in the Berrien Campus SGMC.

She was born October 18, 1941 in Tift County to the late Harry Hiers and the late Lillian Elizabeth Tucker Hiers. She was a homemaker and served as a Pink Lady at the Berrien Nursing Center for numerous years. She was a devoted and loved aunt and friend to many. She was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God. She was the widow of Rancil C. Taylor and was also preceded in death by 4 sisters: Mildred Castleberry, Louise Lane, Dorothy Gray and Martha Skinner and infant son: Leslie Taylor.

She is survived by son: Michael Rancil "Jimmy" and Charlene Taylor of Lockport, LA; 4 daughters: Bobbie (Wiley) Delk, Sophie Taylor, Rhonda (Mike) Hand, and Beth (Bobby) Coleman all of West Berrien; 18 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 2 brothers: Harvey Hiers of Nashville and Ronnie Hiers of Nashville; and a loving dog: Bud.

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 20, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Abundant Life Assembly of God with the Rev. Raymond Cason and Rev. Michael Harper officiating.
Interment will follow in the Vickers Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 7-9 PM.
