Mary Magdeline Nix, 97, of Nashville died Sunday September 28, 2014 in the Berrien Nursing Center.
She was born November 13, 1916 in Berrien County to the late Johnny Ford and the late Lona Mathis Ford. She was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Glendon Nix, who died in 1976. She was also preceded in death by 6 brothers: Ralph, Buie, Lonnie, Carey, Bob and J.N. Ford and a great grandson: Gabe Hendley.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Phyllis Harper of Nashville, Vivian Bradford of Nashville and Wylene Richardson of Virginia Beach, Va; one son: Bobby Glynn Nix of Nashville; brother: Kenneth Ford of South Carolina; 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 30, 2014 at 11 AM in the Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Dukes III and Rev. Jackie Connell officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 7 to 9 PM.
