Mary Frances Tucker, 81, of Alapaha, died Monday, November 17, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

She was born February 16, 1944, to the late Emmett James and the late Vina Mealer James. She was a homemaker and member of Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters: Margie James, Edna Manis, Ivoray Akridge, Velma Johnson and Josephine Sauls; 6 brothers: Windom James, Roy James, David James, Charles James, Tilman James and Tommy James.

She is survived by her husband: Robert Vernon Tucker of Alapaha; 3 sons: Alan Tucker (Larry Duke) of Port St. Joe, FL, Craig (Sue Ann) Tucker of Alapaha and Jody (Lisa) Tucker of Alapaha; sister; Margaret Pierce of Alapaha; 3 grandchildren: Reed (Courtney) Tucker, Garrett Tucker and Katelyn (Morgen) Junkins; 5 great grandchildren: Raylee Tucker, Andie Tucker, Stetson Tucker, Avery Tucker and Sawyer Tucker; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11 AM in the Mt. Paron cemetery. Visitation is in the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service.
