Mary Ethel Whidden's Obituary
Mary Ethel Whidden, 92, of Nashville died Friday, December 14, 2012 in South Georgia Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 20, 1920 in Holmes County Florida to the late Jackson Lee Long and the late Cora Lizzie Woodham. She was a homemaker and a member of Nashville First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Esau James "E.J." Whidden who died in 2010. She was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Whidden who died in 2012.
She is survived by a daughter: Anne Whidden of Las Vegas, NV; two sons: Jim (Sue) Whidden of Nashville; Jack (Scharline) Whidden of Moorehead, KY; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 2 PM in Westview Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. The family will visit with friends in the cemetery following the service.
