Obituary

Mattie Belle Rozier Fender, 81, of Ray City died Thursday December 10, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center.

She was born November 25, 1939 in Lowndes County to the late George Henry Brown and the late Lona Belle Register Brown. She retired from South Georgia Medical Center in 2002 after 25 years of service as an LPN and QA Risk Management. She was a member of A'New Way Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a sister Lilly Sue Ray and a brother George Henry Brown, Jr.

She is survived by her husband: Lamar Fender of Ray City; daughter: Loretta (Bennie Hank) Blanton of Albany; three sons: George Rozier of Hahira, Herman (Rena Kay) Rozier of Hahira and Micah Maurice (JoAnn) Rozier of Knightsville, NC; five grandchildren: Lalenia (Larry) Arnold, Mauricia (Daniel) Blackwell, Drew (Amy) Rozier, Melanie Rozier and Ethan Eckenrode; four great grandchildren: Bella, Madison, Olivia and Amelia.

Funeral services will be held Monday December 14, 2020 at 11 AM in The Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Long Bridge Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
