Obituary

Maxine Tatum, 86, of Miami, FL, died on December 30, 2018 at her residence.

She was born September 23, 1932 in Berrien County to the late Clarence Homer Cornelius and the late Pauline Connell Cornelius. She was a homemaker and of the United Methodist faith. She was the widow of Charles Tatum and was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Clarence Cornelius, Bennie Cornelius and Earl Cornelius; sister: Leila Jeffords.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Betty (Matthew) Hardy of Pembroke Pines, FL and Debbie Yeaton of Miami, FL; 6 grandchildren: Tara, Cory, Timmy, Jenny, Lisa and Christy; 5 great grandchildren: Shiloh, Sparrow, Scarlet, Aiden and Celine; 3 sisters: Dorothy Giddens of Nashville, Sue Lasseter of Nashville and Faye Simpson of Lake Butler, FL; 5 brothers: Harry Cornelius, Rudolph Cornelius, Robert Cornelius, David Cornelius and Donald Cornelius; large number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 5, 2019 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Long Bridge Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 2 to 4 PM.
